Shungite Merkaba, 75mm, Hand Carved Custom Wood Stand
What an extraordinary piece this is! This large shungite merkaba measures a about 3 inches in diameter (75mm), and is hand-carved from one solid piece of black shungite weighing about 1.25 pounds.
The merkaba comes with a custom square wooden stand, about 6 inches in diameter, made from reclaimed wood by Mike Stark of Olympia, Washington.
Each merkaba is slightly different due to shungite's natural mineral inclusions and veins.Being hand-carved and not machined, you will appreciate all the little variations and imperfections.
Even little divotsand grooves that look like they don't belong and probably (I'm guessing) reflect a change in angle by the carver! The imperfections and the sheer time it took to make these - notwithstanding the rarity of finding chunks of shungite large enough to carve these objects - makes them truly special.
What is a Merkaba?
A merkaba (sometimes spelled "merkabah") is an eight-pointed three-dimensional star in sacred geometry. The merkaba is said to be the "divine light vehicle" used by ascended masters to connect with the higher realms, something like a chariot. "Mer" means light, "Ka" means spirit, and "Ba" means body. With its intersecting triangles, it represents the connection between the human and the Divine.
